Our Story

On Sunday evening, January 1, 1989, Pastor Charles Nichols and 21 founding members had the first meeting of Independent Baptist Church.

The church met in an office building in New Hope/Crystal while saving money to purchase a building. On January 1, 1995, IBC bought the building and property of Faith Baptist Church in Ramsey and the name was changed to Independent Baptist Church of Ramsey.

Pastor Nichols retired on October 17, 2012 after serving as Pastor for 24 years. Matt Lendt, a deacon and faithful member in the church, was voted in as Pastor on that same day, October 17, 2012.

We are thankful for the Godly heritage here in Ramsey. God has truly been faithful and has blessed IBC through the years.
